The Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources (DWR) has announced the commencement of its biennial process for revising the regulations governing recreational fishing, non-game wildlife management, and boating. The new regulations are set to take effect on January 1, 2025.
The scoping period will run from January 11 through February 25. During this period, citizens will have the opportunity to propose potential regulatory changes directly to DWR.
DWR encourages all interested parties to actively participate in this important process. By providing their input, citizens can help shape the future regulations that govern recreational fishing, non-game wildlife management, and boating in Virginia.
