Fincastle Clothes Closet dates
Fincastle United Methodist’s Clothes Closet will be open on Saturday, December 7, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., and Tuesday, December 17, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., in the Family Life Center at 137 S. Church Street. Donations of gently worn, clean fall/winter clothing and shoes for kids/teens are greatly appreciated at this time.
Pleasant Hill food box distribution schedule
Pleasant Hill Baptist Food Ministries food box pick up day is the second Saturday of every month at two locations. Boxes may be picked up at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 4930 Country Club Road, Troutville (corner of Haymakertown and Country Club Roads), or the Eagle Rock Library, 55 Eagles Nest Drive, Eagle Rock. Hours are 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. or until all boxes are gone.
Fellowship lunch, concert at Springwood Baptist
Springwood Baptist Church invites everyone to the worship service on Sunday, December 8, at 11 a.m. The service will be led by Pastor Mike Anderson. A special concert provided by a group of local musicians will begin at 1 p.m.
After the service and before the concert, there will be a time of fellowship with a soup and sandwich lunch, and cake for dessert.
Mt. Joy Christmas program
Mt, Joy Church of the Brethren will be holding a Christmas program on Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. The church is located at 2565 Buffalo Road in Buchanan. All are invited.
Sale at Cloverdale Thrift Store
Cloverdale Church of the Brethren Thrift Store has a large selection of sweaters and jackets for the entire family. Start Christmas decorating early– the store has lots of antique and collectible ornaments available. Hours are 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday. Donations are greatly appreciated.
Eagle Rock UMC needs a new heat pump
Eagle Rock United Methodist Church is now accepting donations to the Building and Maintenance Fund for the upcoming replacement of a heat pump. Friends and family of the church are asked to consider a contribution. Springwood Baptist Christmas Eve service
Springwood Baptist Church invites the public to a special Christmas Eve Candlelight Service on Wednesday, December 24, at 5:30 p.m. The service will be led by Pastor Mike Anderson.
