Some toys like this Steiff cat hand puppet can last for generations. It is on display now in the Botetourt Museum of History and Culture in Fincastle, along with many more vintage toys. Historic Fincastle, Inc., created the exhibition of “previously played with” toys which are on loan from the members. This puppet was probably made in the late 1950s and is part of Brenda Simmons’ collection. The museum is free and open seven days a week. The public is encouraged to visit the museum and see this collection.
