Lord Botetourt and James River had athletes competing in the East Coast Elite indoor track meet at the Roanoke College Cregger Center last Thursday.
The Cavaliers had a first place as Eric Duncan won the 3,200-meter run in 9:26.28. Triston Graves and Caleb Miller were third and fourth in the 55 hurdles and Nathan Mullens took eighth in the pole vault.
For the LB girls, Karleigh Brown was third in the pole vault, clearing 7’ 6.25”. Jillian Harris took sixth in the 55 hurdles and Botetourt’s 4×200 relay team was ninth.
For James River Navaeh VanBuren was third in the triple jump and seventh in the long jump. Kaia Binns was sixth in the 55-meter dash.
This weekend both the LB and River teams will head to Liberty University in Lynchburg for the Bulldog Invitational.
