The Virginia High School League Class 1 and 2 swim meets will be held Sunday at the SwimRVA facility in Richmond. James River will have three swimmers competing who qualified at the Region 2 meet in Christiansburg last week.
Riley Persinger qualified in two events for the state meet. She was second in both the 200 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke in regions, swimming a personal best in the Back.
For the boys, Joel Barbour took a second in the 200 IM and the 100 Breaststroke, qualifying for the state meet. Austin Myers also qualified with a second in the 100 Backstroke. Austin, in the 200 Free, and Kingston Bean, in the 50 and 100 Free, just missed states in their other events, both placing sixth.
Also, Lydia Jones and Addison Jones dropped huge amounts of time and Kaeli Berry had a great finish in the Breaststroke.
