Read Mountain Middle School students Mason Gates (left) and SJ Stewart participated at the VBODA District VI All-District Band event at Cave Spring High School February 14-15. The students auditioned in January against 395 students from the district, which runs from Danville to Radford. Mason and SJ were both in the Symphonic Band that was under the direction of guest conductor Martin Blount.
