Pursuant to the provisions of Sections 15.2-2204
and 15.2-2285, this shall serve as notice that the
Town of Fincastle Planning Commission will hold
a public hearing on March 11, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at
the Fincastle Volunteer Fire Department located at
25 Vine Street in Fincastle. This hearing is for the
purpose of soliciting public input on:
1. A text amendment to the Town of Fincastle
Zoning Ordinance definition to clarify the meanings of public and community utilities. And,
2. The addition of a section (Article VI, Section
613) to the Town Zoning Ordinance for the purpose
of describing the procedure for the process of appeals to a decision made by Town Council.
3. A rezoning application received by Flagship Properties to rezone a portion of Lot Tax ID#
73A(1)102 from Residential-Low (RL) to Trade
(T). This property is located at 203 Botetourt Road.
The Fincastle Town Council will then have a public hearing on the above items on March 13, 2025
at 7:00 p.m. at the Fincastle Volunteer Fire Department, 25 Vine Street, Fincastle. In addition:
4. The Fincastle Town Council will hold a public hearing to discuss the planned submission of a
Community Development Block Grant Community
Improvement Grant application to fund the implementation of the previously presented Economic
Restructuring Plan.
