The Lord Botetourt boys soccer team is 2-0 after posting their second straight shutout to open the season. The Cavaliers defeated Abingdon, 6-0, at Emory & Henry University last Friday in their final game before spring break.
LB peppered the Falcons’ goal with 36 shots. Isaac Alderman connected for two goals while Isiah Lankford, Jeremy Simmons, Kalob Daniels and Dean Webb had one each. JB Cook and Garrett Honts split time in the LB goal to record the shutout, the second straight after beating Heritage, 1-0, in the season opener.
The Cavaliers will be back on the pitch a week from today, on April 2, when they host Christiansburg in Daleville.
