Join Botetourt in experiencing exciting spring activities

As spring blossoms in Botetourt Count,y residents and visitors can look forward to a variety of engaging events and activities. Here are some upcoming highlights for the 2025 spring season:​

Day Trips Organized by Botetourt County Parks and Recreation

Botetourt County Parks and Recreation, in partnership with Roanoke Tours, is offering a series of day trips led by experienced local guide Ernie Dale. Upcoming excursions include:

May 3, – Conway, Cash, and the King: A musical journey celebrating the legends of country and rock ‘n’ roll.​

May 17 – Cheerwine Festival: A trip to the annual Cheerwine Festival, celebrating the iconic cherry-flavored soft drink with live music, food, and entertainment.

May 26 – Memorial Day Lunch at Pipestem State Park: A scenic outing featuring a commemorative lunch in honor of Memorial Day.​

VBR Restaurant Week: May 31 – June 8

Food enthusiasts can anticipate the inaugural VBR Restaurant Week, taking place from May 31 to June 8. This event will showcase the region’s vibrant culinary scene, with participating restaurants from Botetourt County and neighboring areas offering special menus and promotions. It’s an excellent opportunity to explore local flavors and support the community’s dining establishments.

“VBR Restaurant Week is an excellent opportunity for people to explore new places to eat and for restaurants to market to new customers and try new menu options,” said Botetourt County Board of Supervisors Chair Amy White. “We’re thankful to our local business organization, Shop Botetourt, for helping us in this endeavor. BOCO is honored to partner with our fellow localities in this regional effort and I invite people to join me and eat local!”

VBR Restaurant Week  will highlight the diverse range of culinary offerings in the region, while also supporting local businesses and the community.
