On Tuesday, April 8, the Town of Buchanan experienced a significant water main break that resulted in portions of the Town losing water on that day.
UPDATE (Apr. 11):
As of today, April 11, the Boil Water Advisory has been lifted for the Town of Buchanan Waterworks.
The Boil Water Advisory was issued on April 8 after service interruption and loss of water pressure to customers of Town of Buchanan Waterworks, Buchanan Virginia.
A series of bacteriological samples were collected and sent to a state certified lab. All samples collected on April 9 and 10 were absent of both total coliform and E. coli bacteria in the area where the Boil Water Advisory is currently being lifted.
Following flushing the service line and premise plumbing, residents can safely resume normal use of their tap water.
