Please observe Work Zone Safety every day
This is National Work Zone Safety Awareness Week, and we at SanMarCo (part of Mullen’s Marking Co.) want to emphasize that this is not just this week, but each day – and that our lives depend on you all as we work along the highways.
Each person (the traveling public) has a part in work zone safety and is encouraged to heed the signs that accompany the zones.
Today, April 23, is “Go Orange Day.” Wear orange and share your support of work zone safety by posting pictures on your social media accounts with #GoOrangeDayVA. On Wednesday afternoon, VDOT and its partners will gather at the VDOT Workers Memorial on Afton Mountain to honor those who lost their lives in work zone incidents.
Friday, April 25, SanMarCo workers will observe the statewide moment of silence at 10 a.m. to remember workers killed in service to the Commonwealth.
