The Roanoke Area Youth Softball Association (RAYSA) tournaments are being held this week with Roanoke Area Youth Baseball Association (RAYBA) tournaments scheduled to open next week. Botetourt all-star teams are represented in both.

The RAYSA tournaments are for 10U, 13U and 17U teams and are being held at the James I. Moyer Complex in Salem with championship games at Darrell Shell Park in Roanoke County. All three tournaments are double elimination.

Botetourt’s 10U team opened with wins over South County and Salem and is scheduled to play North Roanoke in the winners’ bracket tonight, Wednesday, at 6 p.m. on Field 3 at Moyer. The championship is at Darrell Shell Thursday at 6 p.m. with an “if game” at 8 p.m.

The Botetourt 13U team beat GSA in the opener, then lost to South County. Botetourt had a losers’ bracket game on Tuesday but results were too late for publication. The championship is Thursday at Darrell Shell.
