James River boys basketball coach Ethan Humphries held his annual camp for kids on June 3-6 at James River High School with the help of varsity team members and some River alumni. There were 70 participants at the camp, the highest number ever. “We had such an amazing week of camp,” said Humphries. “The campers were ready to learn and excited to be in the gym. Our college alumni came in and added some great knowledge for our little guys. To get the youth excited about having a basketball in their hands is our biggest goal and we really believe it was our best camp yet. We’ll take a look at the numbers and see what options we can come up with for next summer to make it even better.”
