The roar of engines and the cheers of the crowd will return to The River Farm in Buchanan this Saturday, June 28, for the annual Truck and Tractor Pull, hosted by Jeter Farm and presented by the Bank of Botetourt.

Gates open at 4 p.m., with the pull starting at 6 p.m. for the family-friendly event. Admission is $20 at the gate, and kids 10 and under get in free. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for hillside seating.

This year’s pull features a full lineup of Dragon Motorsports classes, including:

  • 11,000 Altered Farm
  • Truck Outfitters 6200 Outlaw
  • 8000 Light Pro Stock
  • 10,000 Super Pro Farm
  • 6300 Open Driveline (No Points)
  • Street Diesel

New this year: wider selection of food trucks and a great selection of beverages, including beer – outside coolers are not permitted.

“It takes a lot of work to get everything ready,” said Ned Jeter II, one of the event organizers. “But when you see families and friends out here having a good time, it’s all worth it. It’s truly a great small-town Saturday night.”

“We’ve been putting together this event for years, and it just keeps getting better,” said Darrell Jeter, co-organizer and farmer. “It’s about more than horsepower – it’s about community, tradition, and making memories that last.”

The organizers thank Bank of Botetourt for its continued support as title sponsor. For event updates, check The River Farm on Facebook.
