American Legion Post 240 of Troutville/Daleville awarded three $500 scholarships graduating seniors who attended the Botetourt Technical Education Center and had a relative who served in a branch of the military. The recipients had to complete an essay on what the word patriotism means to them and attend a dinner on July 3 in Daleville.
