Cloverdale Thrift Store half-price sale

Cloverdale Church of the Brethren’s Thrift Store is having a half-off sale on all adult and children’s clothes and shoes. Fall clothes will arrive on the first Saturday in October. Gently used donations are welcome. The store is open Saturdays, 9 to 12.

 

PleasantDale Homecoming September 14

Homecoming will begin at 11 a.m. on September 14 at PleasantDale Church of the Brethren, celebrating the church’s 109th year of serving Christ and the community. Local favorite David Austin will be the musical guest.

A light lunch will be provided after the morning service, followed by an ice cream social.

All are welcome. There is no charge for this event; RSVP: dtozar9@yahoo.com.

 

Mt. Carmel Church community event

Mt. Carmel Church will host a community meal on September 20, 4 to 7 p.m. Hamburgers, hot dogs and ice cream will be served. There will be face painting and cornhole games. The church is located at 5149 Salt Petre Cave Road, Eagle Rock.

 

Homecoming at Springwood Baptist

Springwood Baptist Church invites everyone to the 193rd Homecoming Anniversary on Sunday, September 21.
Homecoming worship service begins at 11 a.m. and will feature special music, worship through the Word, and a baptism service. Following worship, a potluck lunch will be served, please bring a dish or two to share.

 

Volunteer to pack meals for ‘Rise Against Hunger’

Looking for a great “volunteer opportunity” where you can have some fun, make some

new friends and give back for all the blessings God has given you?

Plan to join St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Daleville on September 20 from 10

a.m.-12 p.m. Members will be packing “Rise Against Hunger” meals that are sent all over

the world for hungry people.  If you would like to help,
