June Hilda Burridge Clark, 91, widow of Preston E. Clark, to whom she was married for 56 years, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.

She was the daughter of the late Louis and Nora Wallace Burridge. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Eric A. Bell, and sister, Ann Donald.

They spent their time travelling until he retired to Botetourt County. She was talented with floral arrangements and her knitting. Words can’t express how her laughter, sense of humor and smile will be missed. At 91, she still dressed up, put on her makeup, wore her high heel shoes everyday completely independent. She passed with grace and dignity and will be missed. She attended Trinity Church of the Brethren and also attended Fincastle Baptist Church.

She will be missed and remembered by her daughter, Jo Ann Bell, and her husband, David; son, Richard Clark and his wife, Karen; grandchildren, Adrian Bell (Sue), Lance Clark, Julie Carpenter (Brett), Jamie Walker (Nick); great-grandchildren, Grace, Eli, Cayden, Thomas, Emma, and Sadie; sister, Margaret Bradshaw (Collin) who resides in England; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, with Pastor Kevin Cummings and the Rev. Ann Mitchell both officiating. The family will have visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Trinity Church of the Brethren or Fincastle Baptist Church in her honor.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of the Neuro ICU at Lewis Gale Medical Center for the care they took of June.
