Charles “Charlie” Edward Broughman, Sr., 81, of Roanoke, formerly of Fincastle, passed away Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Broughman and Helen Broughman Jones; son, Chuck Broughman; brother, Bobby Broughman; brothers-in-law, Dennis Dunbar, Jack Dunbar, and John Riley.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Linda Gail Broughman; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Tracy Broughman; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Barry Chafin; grandchildren, Ashton and Garrison Gravely, Carrie Broughman, and Justin Broughman; one great-granddaughter, Hartlynn Gravely; sisters, Shirley Dunbar, Becky Hensley, and Edith Dunbar; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Claudette Broughman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held from 12-1 p.m. with services at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29 2025 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Pastor Tracy Terry officiating. Interment followed in Godwin Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.botetourtfh.com.
