The Buchanan Lions Club proudly took part in the annual Buchanan Christmas Parade, spreading holiday cheer while highlighting its ongoing commitment to community service.
Dressed in festive attire— including Santa hats, reindeer antlers, and even a full lion costume— club members marched through town carrying their signature “We Serve” banner. Parade-goers along Main Street greeted the Lions with smiles, waves, and cheers, many recognizing the organization for its long-standing service to the Buchanan community.
The Lions Club’s float and walkers emphasized the group’s mission of helping others, with a focus on vision and hearing assistance, diabetes awareness, and other community-based support efforts. Members also took the opportunity to connect with residents, share information about the club’s work, and invite others to consider joining.
“The Buchanan Christmas Parade is always a special event for us,” said a club representative. “It allows us to celebrate the season while reminding our neighbors that we are here year-round to serve.”
With a strong tradition of involvement in local events and fundraisers, the Buchanan Lions Club’s parade presence reflected both holiday spirit and dedication to service. As the parade moved through town, the Lions truly embodied their motto, “We Serve,” bringing warmth, laughter, and community pride to the heart of Buchanan.
Residents interested in learning more about the Buchanan Lions Club or getting involved are encouraged to connect with a local member or follow the club on social media for updates on upcoming events and service opportunities.
