Connie Jones, 82, of Buchanan, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and cherished memories. Born in Huntington, W.Va., Connie lived a life rooted in devotion to her family and community.

Connie dedicated much of her life to caring for others. She first worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Friendship Manor Nursing Home, where her compassion and kindness touched the lives of many residents and their families. She later worked as a maid at the Hotel Peaks of Otter, where she was known for her strong work ethic and attention to detail.

She was preceded in death by husband Lynn T. Jones Jr., and husband Glen M. Lane; her daughter, JoEllen Runyon (Lane); and her parents, Richard Dix Alls and Eloise Nell Alls (Weaver).

Connie is survived by her sisters, Nancy Stuart and Susan Alls. She is also survived by her loving family: Richard and Carlene Lane and their children, Jason Byers, Anthony Byers, and Ashley Sweetman; Cassie and Tom Marshall, and their children, Knox Marshall and Andrew Marshall; Johnny Jones and Kent Layman; and the children of JoEllen and Mark Runyon: John Lane, Heather Love, Chris Love, Steve Runyon, and Angelina Isley. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy.

She will be remembered for her caring heart, her strength, and the deep love she had for her family. Her legacy will live on through those who knew and loved her.
