Students at Greenfield Elementary School marked a light-hearted milestone last week as part of end-of-year activities leading up to summer break.
On Friday, the school held “Hat Day,” inviting students to wear creative and colorful headwear to class. The event was part of a broader countdown to the final day of the school year, with each day featuring a different theme. This is just one in-school event of several planned to build excitement as the school year comes to a close.
Photos shared from the event show students wearing a wide variety of hats, ranging from handmade designs to favorite caps and novelty headpieces. The activity brought a festive atmosphere to the school as students participated in the themed day.
“Friday was ‘H’ for Hat Day, and our students showed off their creativity with all kinds of fun hats,” teacher Carolyn McLucas shared in a statement accompanying the photos. “We love seeing the excitement build as we get closer to summer.”
The countdown activities are expected to continue in the coming weeks as students and staff prepare for the end of the school year.
