Summer Reading Challenge begins in June
Botetourt County Libraries are roaring into summer with this year’s Summer Reading Challenge, “Unearth a Good Story” featuring a prehistoric twist— dinosaurs! From June through August, kids are invited to join the fun, log their reading, and enjoy a full lineup of dinosaur-themed programs at all library branches.
Families can enjoy hands-on activities, STEM fun, story times, and special dinosaur-themed events all summer long. Highlights include visits from Larsen Lizards and DinoQuest Adventures— two show stopping attractions. All programs are free! Joining the Summer Reading Challenge gives participants chances to win great prizes while enjoying fun, community-building experiences that spark curiosity and a love of reading.
