Buchanan’s Terry Austin, who represents the 37th District in the Virginia House of Delegates, introduced a House Resolution commending the girls on the James River High School 200 medley relay team, as well as coach Kit Williams, for being the first state champions in James River High School history in swimming. “It was such an honor for the girls and myself to be recognized by our state legislature for our first place finish in states,” said Williams. “We really appreciate it.” Left to right are Riley Persinger, Kim Van Auken, Sarah Lorman, Lydia Jones, coach Williams and Delegate Austin.
