A large indoor yard sale to benefit the Carson Memorial Rescue Squad Building in Buchanan will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. this Thursday, June 11, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, June 12, and Saturday, June 13.
Funds raised will help maintain the building, which serves as a memorial honoring the Buchanan Volunteer Rescue Squad and the Carson family for their dedicated service to the squad.
Items for sale include a wide variety of household goods, Christmas decorations and kitchen items.
The Friends of the Buchanan Library donated a large selection of hardcover and paperback books, media and puzzles for the sale. Shoppers may purchase an empty box for $5 and fill it with unmarked yard sale items and books, or purchase a $3 bag for books only.
A separate section of the building features an extensive collection of vintage furniture, collectible dishware, decorations and other items that have been individually priced.
All sales are final. Cash and checks only.
The Carson Memorial Rescue Squad Building is located at 19763 Main Street in Buchanan, across from the fire department.
Organizers encourage shoppers to arrive early for the best selection and to help preserve an important part of Buchanan’s history through their support of the yard and book sale.
