The Lord Botetourt golfers shot a team score of 157 in a nine-hole Blue Ridge District match at Hanging Rock Golf Club in Roanoke County last week. Northside won the round with a 147 followed by William Byrd at 154.
Botetourt was playing without Alisa Davidova, a perennial contender for medalist honors in the BRD matches. Byrd’s Ethan Sink was medalist with a nine-hole 34 while LB’s best score was a 37 by Cole Cecil.
Also scoring for LB at “The Rock” were Derek Bond with a 39, Jackson Taylor at 40 and Eli Hall at 41. Kelly Carpenter had 43 and Jonah Dunker came in at 45.
This week the district was scheduled to play at Blue Hills on Tuesday, William Byrd’s home course. Today the Cavs have a non-district match at Blacksburg, and next Monday they’re back at Hanging Rock.
