Trinity UMC Baby Pantry open September 26
Those in need of diapers and baby formula may come to the Baby Pantry at Trinity United Methodist Church, 19637 Main Street, Buchanan, from 9 a.m. to noon on the fourth Saturday of the month. Enter on Washington Street side of the building. The Baby Pantry will be open this month on September 26.
Diaper and wipes donations may be left at the Buchanan Library, Family Dollar Store and North Star Restaurant.
Springwood Baptist pork barbecue dinner
The annual pork barbecue dinner, prepared by Aaron’s Smokehouse, will be held on Saturday, October 3, from 4-6 p.m. at Springwood Baptist Church, 88 Copps Hill Road, Buchanan.
Each meal includes two pork barbecue sandwiches, coleslaw, baked beans, and a drink for $15. Desserts will be available for an additional charge.
This is a takeout-only event, with meals available on a first-come, first-served basis. No pre-sold tickets or reservations will be accepted. The community is invited.
Homecoming at Mount Olivet UMC
Homecoming at Mount Olivet United Methodist Church is Sunday, October 4, beginning at 11 a.m. There will be music by Keith Wood, followed by a potluck luncheon. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the fellowship, music and food. The church is located at 26310 Lee Highway, Buchanan,
Cloverdale Church of the Brethren Thrift Store
All clothes and shoes are half off at the Thrift Store in September. Shoes and pocketbooks are needed. Donations are welcome and appreciated. The store is open Saturdays, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
