Old Dominion, a Nashville band with local connections, made its debut at the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday, March 1.

Matthew Ramsey of Buchanan and Whit Sellers of Blue Ridge joined their other band members, Geoff Sprung, Trevor Rosen and Brad Tursi, playing two songs on the Opry stage.

They performed the band’s single, “Dirt On A Road.”

Old Dominion was given a warm welcome and an introduction that told of the special moment in history that happens every time someone debuts at the Grand Ole Opry.

It was a night to remember for them, their family and friends who attended, and for the many who listened and cheered them on back home.  Old Dominion’s song is currently being played on SiriusXM radio, channel 59, The Highway.

“Dirt On A Road,” written by Matthew Ramsey and Trevor Rosen, is making waves as a new sound in Country Music. SiriusXM radio claims it to be the most talked about song in the history of satellite radio.

It can be purchased on itunes at http://smarturl.it/ODdirt, and you can watch the video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buI_wBmuN3Y.

Ramsey and Rosen have performed locally the past three years at fundraisers for the Buchanan Area Ministerial Association (BAMA) Food Pantry as part of Nashville Nights that features five Nashville songwriters.

The members of Old Dominion are also known for songs that have been recorded by The Band Perry, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban, Craig Morgan, Dierks Bentley and more.  You can sample some of their other songs at their website: www.olddominionband.com.
