Wharton and Nannie Radford Wharton.” The talk is based on information gleaned from over 500 wartime letters written between the couple. The Radford Heritage Foundation is instituting the name change to the Glencoe Mansion to highlight the historic nature of the museum site, which is the 1875 home of the Wharton family. The full name Glencoe Mansion, Museum & Gallery better informs guests to the nature of the museum, which is three museums in one: house museum focusing on the history of the Wharton family; history exhibits highlighting key people and events in Radford’s history; and art gallery featuring the works of talented regional artists.
Everyone is welcome to attend. There is no admission charge.
