Member One FCU has announced the appointment of Steve Crowder of Fincastle as Director of Information Technology.
Crowder has been with Member One since 1997, serving in a variety of roles, most recently as VP of Information Systems.
Crowder will be responsible for the management, strategy, and execution of IT infrastructure throughout Member One’s footprint. In addition to managing the credit union’s technology operations and implementing new IT systems and policies, Crowder will be directing the effective delivery of networks and disaster recovery systems and processes.
“Having been part of the Member One team for the past 20 years, I am proud to work for an organization that gives back to the community and has its members’ best interests at heart,” said Crowder. “Amidst the ever-changing world of technology, I look forward to the opportunities my new role will afford to provide our members and employees with the solutions they need.”
Crowder’s passion for technology— in particular, leveraging it as a resource to create efficient and productive work environments— will help move the credit union forward as a financial services leader in the community.
“Steve’s diversity in education and operational skills, coupled with a tech-savvy mindset offers a great value to both our members and employees,” said Jeff Wieczorek, Chief Information Officer. “Combine that with a high degree of integrity, and we are lucky to have him.”
Crowder holds a degree in Business Administration from Roanoke College. He is also a graduate of the National Association of Federal Credit Unions’ Management and Leadership Institute. He is currently enrolled in the Credit Union National Association’s Management School.
