Break’s over, high school teams back in action with full schedules this week

The high school sports schedule in Botetourt County is back in full swing this week after last week’s spring break. Four games between Lord Botetourt and James River teams highlight this week’s schedule.

The county soccer teams were scheduled to play on Tuesday of this week in a doubleheader in Daleville. Today, Wednesday, the James River and LB softball teams will meet in Daleville at 5:30 p.m., while the baseball teams are in Springwood, same time. The jayvee teams will meet at the opposite sites.

The tennis teams were scheduled to return to action against Rockbridge on Tuesday. Today, the girls will host Franklin County at Hollins University, and the James River track team is scheduled to compete in a meet at Floyd County today.

Thursday’s schedule is light, with the James River girls and boys soccer teams playing at Floyd County. On Friday, the River baseball team is home to Floyd and the girls are at Floyd.

Lord Botetourt has a busy schedule on Friday with the baseball and girls soccer teams hosting Rockbridge County. The softball and boys soccer teams are at Rockbridge.
