The Lord Botetourt tennis teams will be competing in the Conference 31 tournaments, beginning next week.

Hollins University will be the site of a semifinal match for the LB boys on Tuesday, May 9, and the girls could also be at Hollins Tuesday, depending on this week’s results. The finals are Thursday, May 11, at the sites of the highest remaining seeds. The boys have clinched the second seed behind Rockbridge.

The boys had three matches last week, defeating Northside, 8-1, and Alleghany, 9-0. They also lost to Hidden Valley.

The girls lost to Northside, 9-0, and Alleghany, 5-4. A match with Hidden Valley was stopped by rain with LB leading 3-2.

This week the Cavs finish out the regular season with matches against William Fleming, William Byrd and Staunton River. The girls are at Byrd Wednesday and home to Staunton River Friday, while the boys are home today with Byrd and in Moneta Friday.
