The Botetourt County Sheriff’s Office and Animal Control are investigating an incident that claimed 18 cattle in October.

The Sheriff’s Office reported that sometime around October 8, unknown individual(s) turned the power off at the Jeter Farm located at 1320 Mt Joy Road, Buchanan. This resulted in the pump used to provide water to the cattle being turned off, resulting in the loss of 18 head of cattle.
