Breckinridge Elementary celebrated Veterans Day last week with an assembly to honor all veterans with family members at the school. Veterans and their families were invited to attend an assembly, where students sang a variety of patriotic songs and recognized the veterans in attendance. Attendees also heard from Botetourt County Public Schools Superintendent John Busher, who spoke about his time in the military, as well as how proud he is of Botetourt students that go into any of the military branches upon graduation. Participants concluded the event with a reception.
