A dozen families and groups such as the Troutville Sunshine Girls, Troutville branch of The Bank of Fincastle, Ballast Point Brewery employees, Botetourt County School Board office employees, Eagle Rock Ruritan Club members, Troutville Fire Department members and Troutville Town Council members spent Saturday morning picking up more than 75 large bags of trash as part of the Roanoke Valley’s annual Clean Valley Day & Week.

Those who participated in Botetourt were treated to lunch by the American Legion and VFW with the Troutville Sunshine Girls. The clean up is not done, though. Minnix said another family called Monday and is going to pick up trash along US 460 in Blue Ridge this week.
