LBHS seniors will play on the college level

Six Lord Botetourt High School student-athletes signed letters of commitment to play in college. The signings were Thursday afternoon in the school auditorium with family, friends and teammates. From left, Max Klimczak will run distances for Mary Baldwin University, which will be co-ed for the first time this fall. He’s the son of Beth and Michael Klimczak. Max Burke, a state long jump champion, will run track at Virginia Military Institute. He’s the son of Brian and Christie Burke.  Logan Wood will play baseball at Shenandoah University. He’s the son of Bill and Tamar Wood. Caleb Franklin will play baseball at UVa-Wise. He’s the son of Gary and Michelle Franklin. Sydney Keyes will play soccer at Randolph College. She’s the daugher of Carolyn and Daryl Keyes. Conner Hayes will run cross country and track at North Carolina Wesleyan. He’s the son of Tim Hayes and Brenda Belcher.
