Ebenezer hosting Country Connection
Ebenezer United Methodist Church is hosting Country Connection, a bluegrass/country band, on Saturday, May 12 from 4-6 p.m. Hot dogs and barbecue with fixings will be sold. Ebenezer United Methodist Church is located at 85 Nace Road, Troutville.
Second Saturday Lunch at Solomon’s Mission
Solomon’s Mission will have its Second Saturday Free Lunch this Saturday, May 12, from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Bank of Botetourt is supplying the lunch of hot dogs, baked beans, chips, drink and dessert. Solomon’s Mission is located on Lowe Street in Buchanan.
Eagle Rock Clothes Closet

Graduate Recognition at Springwood Baptist
Springwood Baptist Church will observe Graduate Recognition Sunday on May 20. The public is invited to help celebrate their church’s high school and college graduates during the morning worship service. The Patricia S. Shiflett Memorial Scholarship will be awarded at this time for a graduating high school senior who plans to further his/her education.
Cloverdale Church of the Brethren Thrift Shop
The Thrift Shop has a great selection of gifts for that Special Mother, including watches (new), glass dome clocks, Precious Moments and many more neat gifts. Also, capri paints and tops are only $1 each. The shop is open each Saturday 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Shiloh Cemetery donations
Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery is asking for those who have loved ones buried in the cemetery or own plots to give monetary donations to help with the upkeep of the cemetery. There has been some extra expenses due to the bad wind storms, such as having trees and stumps removed, repair on fence and also doing some needed repairs in the cemetery, such as repairs to headstones that were damaged. Springwood Baptist Church Cemetery needs donations for mowing and other maintenance that the cemetery requires.

Mt. Bethel Cemetery donations

Pico Cemetery needs funds
Pico-Styne-Nofsinger Cemetery in Buchanan is in need of funds. Donations are needed to have the cemetery mowed and maintenance done. Bingo at Wheatland Lutheran Church
The Botetourt community is invited to a game of Bingo, lunch, the opportunity to make new friends, and a chance to win some prizes at the monthly meeting of Sharing God’s Grace at Wheatland Lutheran Church. The enjoyment begins at noon on Tuesday, May 15, with lunch served by the ladies of the church. Bingo follows lunch with prizes awarded to the winning cards. Cedar Bluff yard sale May 26
Cedar Bluff Baptist Church will have a yard sale at the church on May 26, beginning at 7 a.m. The sale will have large amounts of household goods and clothing; assorted sausage biscuits and coffee will be available for breakfast and hot dogs, drinks and petros for lunch, This sale will benefit the future building of a picnic shelter.
Yard sale at Ebenezer UMC
Ebenezer United Methodist Church is having a yard sale with space for rent on June 9. If you would like to rent a space the cost is $10 if you have a table, and $15 if you would like the church to supply a table. The time will be from 8 a.m. ’til 2 p.m. Ebenezer will be selling sausage biscuits, sausage gravy and coffee for breakfast and hot dogs for lunch.
