Lord Botetourt tennis players competed in doubles tournaments on Memorial Day at Virginia Tech.

In the boys tournament, LB’s Noah Bryant and Benny Ford won their opening round match over a team from Alleghany, 6-2 and 6-1. The Botetourt pair then lost in the semifinals to Paul Baron and Greg Hearp of Hidden Valley, 6-1, 6-0. Baron and Hearp went on to win the doubles region championship.

In the girls tournament, Rachel Williams and Kayleigh Shafer of LB were ousted in the first round, losing to an Abingdon team 6-0, 6-1. The Abingdon pair made it to the finals where they lost to Reagan Delp and Caitlin Carter of Cave Spring.
