A caravan of antique automobiles cruised through Botetourt County last week— first on a trip from Roanoke north to Arcadia and up Jennings Creek Road and McFalls Creek en route to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Peaks of Otter on July 17. The next day, the group of 30 or so antiques— all dating before 1927— followed Nace and Lithia Roads to Buchanan, spent part of the morning there where owners and their riders ate lunch. They then cruised Rt. 43 to Springwood Road to Fincastle (above) where they toured the Botetourt County Historical Society Museum before taking the back roads back to Roanoke. Most hailed from North Carolina as members of the North Carolina Horseless Carriage Club, but others were local and some came from the Midwest and Florida.
