The Hunting Hills Country Club swim team continued its domination of the Roanoke Valley Aquatic Association as the Hound Dogs won their sixth straight City-County title last weekend. The meet was held over two days at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center.
Hunting Hills has now won 16 of the past 17 RVAA championships. Their run of success was interrupted just once, in 2012, by the Stonegate Swim Club of Salem. Stonegate finished second this year.
The Read Mountain Swim Club, in Botetourt County, finished third in the final season standings, which are determined by 60 percent from the results of the six Monday night meets and 40 percent from the City-County meet. Ashley Plantation finished eighth among the 14 teams in the RVAA and a Limestone Park team, which was short on numbers, also participated.
