With more than 3,000 toys collected, the annual Toys 4 Bot-E-Tots campaign marked another year of success. All of the toys that were collected were loaded into a Lawrence Transportation truck and were taken to Church of the Transfiguration for distribution. Nellie Ward, the co-chair, said that this is the 17th year of collecting toys. In addition to the several thousand toys, which will go to roughly 300 children, Toys 4 Bot-E-Tots was also able to sponsor 40 “angels,” which is administered through the Botetourt Department of Social Services. Below, volunteers pose after loading all of the toys.
