The Botetourt County schools will participate in regional track meets this week. The Region 3D meet is scheduled for Thursday in Christiansburg and the Region 2C meet is also Thursday, at Amherst High.
Last week LB participated in the Blue Ridge District meet. Winners for the Cavaliers included Brooklyn Hornback in the 400, Sofia Hernandez in the 800, Anna Hoover in the 1,600, Katie Cross in the 3,200 and the 4×800 relay team for the girls.
For the boys, Bryson Cook won the 800 and Jake McNutt was second in the shot put and discus.
River competed in the Three Rivers meet at Floyd County. Katelyn Wiley won the high jump, Cole Miller won the 800 and the boys’ 4×800 relay team of Miller, Camden Powell, Daniel Holter and Dustin Crawford also took first place.
