John Robert Drummond, 77, of Eagle Rock, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Harrison and Irene Merritt Drummond, and sisters, Betty Chambers and Nancy Crowder.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Ruth Rusmisle Drummond; step-daughter, Diane and Rick Demello of Manassas; step-sons, Robert Hodge of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Frankie and Linda Hodge, Conway, S.C., and Gary Hodge of Badin, N.C.; brother, Hugh Drummond of Eagle Rock; sisters, Mary Sue and Everett Craft of Troutville, and Nellie and Bruce Friel of Glasgow; five step-grandchildren, and three step-great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, in Forest Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry A. Marsh officiating. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Forest Grove Baptist Church, 693 Mt. Moriah Road, Eagle Rock, 24085.
