Lawrence Companies, headquartered in Roanoke, recently earned the designation of a Virginia Values Veterans (V3) Certified employer.
Lawrence is a 100 percent employee-owned business with four primary divisions including, Moving and Storage, Truckload and Flatbed Freight, CASE Equipment, and Custom Truck Service Bodies. With multiple locations throughout the Commonwealth, Lawrence employs 340 Virginia residents, many of them military veterans.

V3 is a unique and innovative program administered by the Virginia Department of Veterans Services (DVS) that partners with private companies, state and local governmental agencies, and colleges and universities across the Commonwealth to promote the recruitment, hiring, and retention of military veterans in the Virginia workforce. Since its inception in 2012, more than 55,000 veterans have been hired as a result of the V3 program. There are currently more than 1,900 V3 partner employers in Virginia and more than 1,100 have completed V3 Certification.
