Erin Gayle Franzen-Heitzmann, 50, of Ocala, Fla., passed away Saturday, January 4, 2020.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Lynyrd Franzen in 1996.
Erin is survived by her husband of 17 years, Joseph R. Heitzmann III; her sons Mark Allen and Clyde Thompson; her daughter, Pandora mGazich; three grandchildren; her sister, Sheri J. Franzen-Glandon; her parents, Shirley Mart Benson, a former Keys REALTOR, and Lawrence E. Benson, Jr., a retired Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputy, former owners of Captains’ Tavern Seafood Restaurant.
Erin so loved her younger life in the Lower Keys, especially Big Pine Key, and was hoping to return to the Keys and the friends of her youth. She will be returning to the home she so loved on a date to be determined.
