Editor’s Note: The Herald has partnered with Botetourt County Fire & EMS to highlight the men and women that are keeping the county safe during this uncertain time. Every week, two Fire & EMS workers will be highlighted.
Jon Rodgers is a lieutenant on A-Shift. He works on EMS-7 as a paramedic shift supervisor for the county. “I enjoy being able to serve our community members in their times of need,” he said “Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two girls. We are currently starting up a small farm in the Catawba area. I’m also an avid outdoorsman and hope to pass my love for God’s creation to my children.”
Ron Kovar is a firefighter/medic on B-Shift. He has been with Botetourt Fire & EMS for nine years. “I am married to my best friend and have four amazing kids. I couldn’t imagine raising my kids in a better area,” he said. “If you see me out and about, say hello. I love to meet new friends.”
