The Botetourt County Chamber of Commerce recently awarded three scholarships to graduates of Botetourt County Public Schools. Each recipient was given a $750 scholarship.
The recipients are:
James River High School graduate Angela Wenk plans to attend Southern Virginia University with a major in history. She plans on pursuing a teaching license.
James River High School and Botetourt Technical Education Center graduate Caleb Shipwash plans to attend Dabney S. Lancaster Community College to study welding. His goal is to open his own welding shop in Botetourt County.
Lord Botetourt High School graduate Meredith Wells plans to attend James Madison University with a focus on health sciences/pre-optometry.
The scholarships were sponsored by Roanoke Cement, Spectrum Design, and Apex Clean Energy.
