Buchanan Fall Market Day – Saturday , 10 a.m.–2 p.m. – The Town of Buchanan invites you and your family to explore Buchanan. From one end of town to the other, you will find there is much more than you imagined. Discover new businesses cropping up along Main Street. Explore what is new in our established businesses. Stroll our historic Main Street where you will find flowers cascading from planters attracting Monarch Butterflies making their journey south. Satisfy your hunger, check out what our local restaurants are offering at Buchanan Fountain & Grill, Good Times Café, and Hill Top. Enjoy Curbside Carnival Food from the Town Park or BBQ from the Buchanan Baptist Church. Visit Solomon’s Mission where you will discover vendors, cloggers and live music. View “Looney’s Ferry” being shown in the historic Buchanan Theatre every half hour for FREE. Explore craft, antique and civic group vendors set up along the sidewalk on Main Street. And, be sure to walk the famous Swinging Bridge, now open!

Buchanan Drive-Thru Trunk or Treating – Join us on Oct. 31, from 6-7 p.m. for Buchanan’s first ever, Trunk or Treat on the Buchanan Town Park. Trick or treat from the safety of your car as you drive through, roll your windows down, and collect candy for your trick or treat bags! The event will also feature a competition for the Best Mask, Best Decorated Trunk and Best Costume! Buchanan Town Fall Clean Up – Rain or Shine on Oct. 17; 8 a.m.-4 p.m. A dumpster will be available on the Town Parking Lot at the Town Park on Lowe Street for town residents. Bring proof of town residency (water or tax bill or driver’s license). Each residence may bring two pickup truckloads or four carloads for free. Loads above that will be $5 per carload and $10 for a pickup truck oad. NO brush, leaves, tires, construction debris or toxic items including paint, oil, batteries, chemicals or pesticides. TVs, electronics and metal may be recycled at the Landfill. Appliances, furniture, other household items can be accepted. You must be able to lift items over head into a tall dumpster. Second Sunday Dinner – Enjoy a home-cooked meal on the go, Oct. 11 from noon until 1 p.m. The Historic Wilson Warehouse is offering curbside meals to go. The meal consists of Meatloaf, Macaroni and Cheese, Peas with Carrots, Biscuit, Bottled Water and Dessert for $12. Proceeds help preserve the Historic Wilson Warehouse.
