Blood drive November 7 in Daleville
St. Mark’s United Methodist Church is sponsoring a Red Cross blood drive Saturday, Nov. 7.
There are power red and regular appointments open, starting at 10 a.m. through 2 p.m. Bring a mask and every care will be taken to ensure everyone’s safety.
Registration for the November 7 blood drive is now open. Secure a spot by: calling 1-800-RED-CROSS, visiting RedCrossBlood.org or visiting RedCrossBlood.org/RapidPass.

Broadband Commission meeting on Thursday
The Botetourt County Broadband Commission will hold a special meeting on Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Greenfield Education & Training Center, 57 S. Center Drive, Daleville.
The public is welcome to attend.
Buchanan Soup Drive – The Town of Buchanan is so grateful to everyone who helped us surpass our goal for collecting peanut butter for the Elementary School Backpack Buddy Program ahead of schedule. We are now collecting cans of soup for the Backpack Buddy Program. Please bring your cans of soup to the Buchanan Town Hall on Main Street. Buchanan Festival of Lights – The town is starting a new tradition this year, a drive-thru light display, and we need your help. If you would like to make a financial donation to help purchase lights, please mail a check to Town of Buchanan Festival of Lights, P.O. Box 205, Buchanan, 24066. Second Sunday Dinner – Enjoy a home cooked meal on the go Sunday from noon until 1 p.m. The Historic Wilson Warehouse is offering curbside meals to go. The meal consists of Roasted Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Sweet Potato Casserole, Dinner Roll, and Dessert for $12. Proceeds help preserve the Historic Wilson Warehouse. VFW Post 240 meets Thursday
American Legion Post 240 will conduct a monthly meeting on Thursday, Nov. 5 at the VFW Hall at the corner of Rt. 220 and Country Club Road, Daleville.
Social hour is from 6-7 p.m. The meeting is called to order at 7 p.m. and usually lasts one hour. All current members and honorably discharged veterans who currently are not members are invited.”
