Appreciates new artwork on Witt Stop buildings

Editor:

The Witt Stop on the southern edge of Buchanan is adding charming building art to two outside walls of their cafe/store. The murals painted by Lisa Floyd (with input from the Witts) feature   historic buildings, the famous foot bridge, beautiful mountains, the James River and local seasonal flowers, plus little gems of interest here and there.

Building murals have become the trendy national art scene over the past 20 or so years and now we have our own Botetourt County master work. Floyd, who is from the Bedford County side of Smith Mountain Lake, took a few liberties with the settings that simply add charm to her efforts.

This awesome autumn weather is the perfect time to take a drive to see this spectacular art display.
