Christmas Bazaar at Solomon’s Mission

Solomon’s Mission is having a Christmas Bazaar from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5.

Vendors include Thirty-One, Pampered Chef, D&C Country Shine, ColorStreet, LuLaRoe, Faithful Country Creations, Lions Club, MMF Designs, handmade wreaths and few more outside vendors.

Breakfast and lunch will be available from Community Church, and Solomon’s Mission will have its annual Christmas Table.

Vendors are limited this year for room to social distance and face masks must be worn while in the building.

Drive-In Movie Night at Limestone Park

Mill Creek Baptist Church will hold a Drive-In Movie Night at Limestone Park at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 29, weather permitting. The animated movie “The Star” will be shown on a giant 40-foot screen, thanks to Lee Hartman & Sons. Admission is free and concessions will be available.  Canned foods will be collected for those in need.

Fincastle Presbyterian to stream Advent services

Fincastle Presbyterian Church will offer special live-streamed Advent services this year. The first Advent candle lighting and scripture readings will occur during the regular service on Sunday, Nov. 29, at 10:30 a.m. The remaining four services of Advent will be held on succeeding Thursdays at 5 p.m.

Each service will include the scriptures and candle lighting; however, these shorter services (20-30 minutes each) will also include special holiday music from some of local talent: violinists, pianists, vocalists, and the church’s organist. Join these live-streaming services by going to https://www.facebook.com/fincastlepresbyterianchurch/ and clicking on the “live” site. The video will also be available to watch during the following week for any unable to make the Thursday night services.
